On the current situation of artists in need of assistance
4 May 2018

LECTURE
The lecture first gives an overview of places where art is created by people with disabilities and with the help of assisting caregivers. Different studio forms and concepts are presented using image examples. Subsequently, aspects of the current art-historical discourse with a special focus on the interaction between artists and assistants, but also the tension between the work and the viewer, will be discussed.
