In this workshop, the participants go on a journey of discovery through the art space hase29 with the artist Eva Lause. The children and young people explore the rooms and explore corners and hiding places. Are there any subtle traces there that suggest a secret life?

The hidden stories that lie dormant in the walls and corners are to be brought to life and made visible. Using artistic techniques and a lot of imagination, the participants transform their discoveries into living stories. Their pictures or constructed spaces bring unique places to life, making it possible to imagine the secret life of the past and the future.

Mashups are mixtures of sound, image or text fragments that, when put together, create something new. During the autumn holidays, children can tell their own stories and start by browsing through books, comics, magazines and the Internet in the children's and youth library at the market. With a camera and USB stick, they collect visual and acoustic finds that are later artistically processed in the hase29 studio. The result is new and usually surprising stories in the form of picture stories, a wall newspaper or as digital narrative forms, e.g. a stop motion film with sound. The final exhibition takes place on Friday afternoon at 14 p.m., and parents, siblings and friends are invited!

Our exhibition "Cloud Catchers" is about water and the stories of women who carry water. With young people between the ages of 13 and 18, we would like to develop their own stories, thoughts and ideas on the topic of "water" as part of a workshop, in order to then implement these performatively, i.e. in artistic-theatrical play. Under the guidance of the theater teacher Johanna Bethge and the artist Eva Lause, the participants create texts, sounds and props and try out different ways of presenting themselves in individual and partner exercises. At the end, the performance will be performed as part of a finissage in the art space hase29.
