EMAF 2024: Festival Section Campus
Exhibition duration: May 24.04.2024, 28.04.2024-May XNUMX, XNUMX
The EMAF Campus festival section offers a platform to classes and subject groups from European academies and universities. The students present their work with exciting film programs and diverse exhibitions. The students' contributions can be discovered not only in the art space hase29, but also in the festival cinemas and at various locations in Osnabrück's city center.
The Kabelvåg School of Moving Images from Norway developed under the title In the belly of the vacuum cleaner Her exhibition in the art space hase29 revolves around the image of the vacuum cleaner, which, similar to our consciousness, absorbs the environment, collects it and brings it together into new (dis)orders.
In the Belly of the Vacuum Cleaner – Kabelvåg School of Moving Images
We call ourselves Moving Dust and invite you to our exhibition In the belly of the vacuum cleaner in the art space hase29. Join us as we search and search the ground for every single grain of dust.
The vacuum cleaner is a machine that makes its way through the world and collects experiences and impressions. Like the vacuum cleaner, we carry everything we collect with us until it's time to unpack the vacuum cleaner bag in a new context. In a data-hungry, image-saturated world, we sometimes crave a digital detox as much as we enjoy the gruel in the belly of the machine.
We are guardians of digital material. We tell stories, collect emotions and create images. We work with everything from film to painting, from sound to photography, from installation to performance. As students at Kabelvåg School of Moving Images, we devour art and culture, we absorb inspiration and knowledge, and we digest formats and methods.
“Don’t wear headphones while vacuuming… Then you suddenly realize you’ve vacuumed the whole house without plugging it in!”
"But do not worry! Worry is to joy what a vacuum cleaner is to dirt!”
Welcome to the belly of the vacuum cleaner!
With love, Hanna, Lovisa, Abel, Tandi, Hedda, Jack, Momo, Nora, Alma, Johanne and Thale.
