Encounter with silence: Daniel Beerstecher at the art space hase29
On Tuesday, October 21, artist Daniel Beerstecher will arrive in Osnabrück – the next stop in his extraordinary project "I Listen – A Year in Silence." Since the summer solstice, he has been wandering silently through Germany, carrying everything he needs for life, inviting people along the way to engage in a silent, mindful encounter with him.
From his work as a performance artist and mindfulness teacher, Daniel Beerstecher knows:
“Listening—true, attentive listening—is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other.”
Encounter at the art space hase29 – Thursday, October 23, 14:30–19:30 p.m.
On this day, Daniel Beerstecher will be present at the hase29 art space from 14:30 p.m. to 19:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to encounter him in silence—in an atmosphere of undivided attention. It's about being together without interruption, without judgment, or simply about shared silence. This creates space for what would otherwise remain hidden in the noise of everyday life: an encounter with a silent person that often speaks louder than many words.

About the project “I Listen – A Year in Silence”
A year of listening – traveling silently through Germany. With this project, Daniel Beerstecher transforms listening itself into an art form. In a world characterized by noise, polarization, and self-promotion, he focuses on a quiet, often overlooked virtue: sincere, present listening. His silent journey becomes a mobile studio, a space for stories that otherwise rarely go unheard.
