7 minutes studios

Portrait of artists from the Osanbrück, Bilefeld and Münster area

A cooperation project between the Kunsthalle Osnabrück and the Society for Contemporary Art Osnabrück e. V. art space hase29

The Art gallery Osnabrück and the Society for Contemporary Art Osnabrück e. V. art space hase29 have the program together for this July 7 minutes studio to which artists from Osnabrück and the surrounding area are invited to present themselves and their art.

On six dates in the Kunsthalle Osnabrück, five artists can present their work and concepts in front of an audience in a 7-minute PowerPoint presentation in German or English. Elisabeth Lumme, curator, art educator and board member of Hase 29, will then launch questions and moderate comments and remarks from the audience. After the presentations, artists, guests and invited curators can exchange ideas over a drink.

The presentations are not only an opportunity for the artists to show themselves to the Osnabrück audience, but also a chance to be seen internationally, because in 2020 the annual IKT (International Curators Conference) congress will take place in Osnabrück and Herford. This network includes more than 700 international curators. From the presentations too 7 minutes studio we will put together a digital portfolio of the regional art scene and make it available to guests who will be traveling to Osnabrück from all over the world next spring for the congress. In this way, the Osnabrück artists can present themselves to an international, wide-ranging body of curators.
